Sandcastle Oceanfront Resort South Beach

The hotel is located on the beach and is nestled into the “Grand Strand”. Parking is available in the deck underneath the notel. The hotel is all exterior entrance with all rooms overlooking the ocean and pools. The lazy river flowed underneith the building next to the parking deck. The lobby area was standard with ratan style furnishings with large picturesque windows overlooking the ocean. The restaurant had an exterior entrance located on the second floor outside and adjacent to the lobby. The front desk was helpful and responsive. I viewed a one bedroom suite that had not been renovated, one that had been renovated and a studio suite. The rooms appeared to be clean, and I was informed they will be going through renovations in the near future. I entered through the bedroom and the window overlooked the back hallway area. The rooms had a small galley kitchen that I passed through to get to the living area. Each room had a balcony overlooking the ocean. The renovated room was laid out the same way with updated furnishings and linens and was much more nicely appointed. The sleeper sofa had cushions that did not fit and the metal frame of the bed was visibley. The couch was stained and dirty. I was informed that renovations are continuous. The pool area over looked the ocean with a short walk out onto the beach and offered a great kiddie pool. The hotel does not offer meeting space. This hotel is a nice option for those looking for a great family friendly beach front hotel on the Grand Strand.
